Create Task


Zira task management platform offers various methods for task creation and management:

Explore these various options to create tasks in Zira and find the most efficient method that suits your workflow and preferences.


  • Title: The name or title of the task.
  • Description: A detailed description of the task. The task description can be formatted similar to posts,
    allowing for mentions, hashtags, emojis, images, videos, documents, call-to-actions, hyperlinks, and gifs.
  • Status: The status of the task, which can be set as To Do, In-Progress, Done, On-Hold, or Canceled.
  • Priority: The priority of this task resolution which can be set to High, Medium or Low
  • Assignee: The person to whom the task is assigned.
  • Log Work: An option to add work hours that will be counted towards the task.
  • Due Date: The deadline for completing the task (applicable when the task is in the "Done" status).
  • Channel: The channel with which the task is associated.

    Utilize the dedicated Tasks tab within channels to create and manage tasks, providing a comprehensive view of all your tasks in one place.

      When on a channel, click the   Add Task   button on the top right of the page

      On the opened dialog, you will be able to create the task description, assignee, priority, log, and other fields.

      Click the  DONE  button to submit the new task.

    While on the feed, you can create a task directly from any post.
    For example, if you receive an alert about downtime due to a maintenance issue and want to transform this alert into an actual task with assignee, priority, status, and due date in order to track it efficiently.

    In order to create task from a post:

      On the bottom right of the post, click the    icon.

      Edit the description if needed and change the task fields according to your needs.

      Click the   DONE  button to submit the new task.

    In order to handle repetitive or planned tasks, such as predictive maintenance, daily rounds, or morning checklists, we allow you to create scheduled tasks.
    This feature saves you time on manually creating tasks and leaves less room for mistakes.

    With scheduled tasks, you can:

    • Create tasks that automatically repeat at specified intervals or on specific dates.
    • Set up reminders and notifications for scheduled tasks.
    • Ensure that important tasks are consistently addressed without the need for manual intervention.

      When on a channel, Click the  Scheduler  tab

      Click the  Add Schedule  button on the top right of the page.

      Configure the schedule to run according to your needs (Month, Week, Day, Hour).

      Click  NEXT

      Click  Add Action  button on the right

      Select  Task  in the opened menu

      Add task title, description and edit other fields according to your need

      Click the  SAVE  button on the top-right of the dialog to submit the scheduled task

    Zira utilizes data from digital forms and IoT sensors to monitor various production aspects such as energy, production, quality, and maintenance. This data is used to trigger automated tasks based on predefined rules. By leveraging data events, Zira proactively addresses issues and streamlines task management.
